Would it be possible for you to provide an update with the information
requested above? It would also be useful if you could provide the information
requested in the upgrade-reports template (the output of COLUMNS=200 dpkg
-l). I’m downgrading the bug’s severity pending this, since yours is the only
report so far with an upgrade error related to ddcci-dkms.

I’ve been trying to reproduce this, but have so far been unable to,
regardless of the upgrade order or combination (upgrading dkms but not
ddcci-dkms, upgrading the kernel, etc.).

In particular, I would very much like to understand why dkms is complaining
about /var/lib/dkms/ddcci/0.3.3/source/dkms.conf even though the ddcci-dkms
package has seemingly been upgraded.
