Maybe my tone was unclear, but I'm not hugely keen to provide more effort on this -- despite being interested -- because I feel like I've been running errands to try to find a good path through, when in fact I don't really understand the nature of the problem, nor am I likely to benefit much from it. But if improvement is possible, I'll do what I can.
