Thanks for the patch. The list of architectures that support coherent DMA gets very long. So I decided to inverse the list: https://github.com/linux-rdma/rdma-core/pull/1296 (otherwise I would have applied your patch). I successfully tested that change on amd64 and on a mipsel porter box.
