Hello Paul and libtree maintainer(s): Attached is the patch I've written that is able to fix FTBFS on most platforms. I've also submitted a PR [1] to the upstream repo, as well as an MR [2] to the Debian package repo. If there are any problems or extra changes needed, please let me know.
