Package: mpich Version: 4.0.2-1 Severity: serious Justification: FTBFS/debci
debci tests for armci-mpi with the new mpich 4.0.2-1 are failing with the error: Abort(605670927): Fatal error in internal_Init: Other MPI error, error stack: internal_Init(59)....: MPI_Init(argc=0x7ffca340893c, argv=0x7ffca3408930) failed MPII_Init_thread(209): MPID_Init(359).......: MPIR_pmi_init(151)...: PMIX_Init returned -25 The problem is not as simple as just rebuilding armci-mpi (which builds static libraries) in a binNMU, since the same error occurs in build-time tests. The error also appears in nwchem (possibly via its use of armci-mpi), and in bagel tests. Is there an incompatibility between mpich 4.0.2 and libpmix ? -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.16.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_AU:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages mpich depends on: ii hwloc 2.7.1-1 ii libc6 2.33-7 ii libhwloc15 2.7.1-1 ii libmpich12 4.0.2-1 ii libslurm37 21.08.6-1 Versions of packages mpich recommends: ii libmpich-dev 4.0.2-1 Versions of packages mpich suggests: ii mpich-doc 4.0.2-1 -- no debconf information
