Andrew, could we keep this bug report at RC until we have a fix?
Even if the fix means a workaround in NM.

I noticed you uploaded the workaround to Debian, and it’s about to migrate to 
testing — how about downgrading the bug from release-critical? Assuming that it 
actually helps.
