I trust you that there is indeed a problem in your machine, but without a test message (in mbox format) which makes procmail to crash, it is nearly impossible to diagnose the problem, much less to fix it. In fact, it could well be a hardware problem in your machine, so I'm downgrading this bug for now (until I have a test case which makes procmail to crash in a reproducible way).
