Thanks, always appreciate your remarks from upstream POV.

I recently had a look at your Haskell-based CommonMark library/tool and 
consider packaging it for Debian.  That alone (if even possible to do 
with current libraries in Debian) is however not enough to upgrade 
pandoc, as you know.  I am unable to do such general Haskell upgrade 
myself, and am looking forward to the Debian Haskell team hopefully 
gaining strength to do a round of library updates, so pandoc can be 
upgraded as well...
