Package: libtiff-tools
Version: 3.7.2-5
Severity: important

After looking at the patch as discussed in #369819

| snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "%s.tif", fname);

and comparing to the source of 3.7.2-5

| snprintf(fname, sizeof(fname), "%s.tif", fname);
[ build-tree/tiff-3.7.2/tools/tiffsplit.c l.65 ]

I do not wonder any longer why tiffsplit suddenly stopped working and
always produced a single file named "D" instead.

Please fix ASAP.

I'm marking this bug done with a Version tag indicating that the bug
is not in the sid version. This will prevent this bug from blocking
transition of tiff to etch. I will follow up with the security team
to find out the status of getting this fixed in 3.7.2-6 for sarge.
