we don't have anything to do with the backports version of this
package, which is not an official debian branch either, so i'm lowering
the severity of the bug. i'm happy to keep the bug open to document
the problem, but i don't want it to interfere with the status of
the nagios-plugins packages in debian.
my suggestoin is that you request the folks at backports.org try
and rebuild the package from the latest version in unstable,
maybe that will solve the problem?
