Sorry for the delay on this. I've just uploaded -2. I didn't have a whole lot of spare time last week and pbuilder wasn't cooperating. I don't want to: * Use upstream autotools (v1.4!) * Depend on automake I do want to: * Be able to change autotools-related things in my source package * Respond to (or just plain avoid) FTBFS bugs about out-of-date stuff * Conform to /usr/share/doc/autotools-dev/README.Debian.gz It looks like I was able to achieve these goals by running: autoreconf --force --install On the source tree before building. Note to Florian: those are only "patches" from your perspective.
