It will work fine once the R version that is currently in unstable migrates
to testing -- presumably in two or three days as it has passed 8 out 10 days
of the required waiting period.
In the meantime, you can either
- install the R version from unstable (which is what I would do), or
- rebuild the r-cran-rodbc locally on your machine against your R
version, or

You could try using a newer R.
Sorry about the nuisance, this is the small price we pay for testing the new
R releases in unstable before they come out. Typically we only get warning
and not such a failure which is why we do not add versioned Depends or
Conflicts.
