Package: postbooks
Version: 4.10.0-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
I installed Postbooks from the Debian Stretch repository with:
sudo apt-get install postbooks postbooks-schema-quickstart postbooks-updater
postgresql postgresql-contrib postgresql-plv8 pgadmin3
I initiated and configured the database and the client successfully but
whenever I start the client the following message is shown:
The database server is at version PostgreSQL 9.6.7 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu,
compiled by gcc (Debian 6.3.0-18) 6.3.0 20170516, 64-bit but xTuple ERP only
supports from 9.3.0 up to but not including 9.6.0.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I installed postbooks from unstable (version 4.10.1-1) but that version had the
same issue.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Starting PostBooks always shows the above mentioned message.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
The PostBook client should support the PostgreSql version provided by Debian
Stretch.
