This is very weird. My procedure for uploading a new package includes running an autopkgtest manually, and I see now that this fails (on the version I uploaded), I don't know why I missed it before the most recent upload. Unfortunately I don't have a fully automated 'build-check-upload' pipeline, so most likely human error/oversight. In any case, I'll be more careful in the future.
