The chezscheme package has a symlink for /usr/bin/scheme that is not managed by the alternatives system whereas mit-scheme manages it as an alternative. I believe that for the subset of Scheme that can be considered portable without using a module system (R5RS), both chezscheme and mit-scheme will be up to the job of running that code. So an alternative is appropriate. I'm preparing an upload to fix this.
