Are you still getting crashes with the new release as well ?
$ apt-cache policy firefox

firefox-dbgsym:

If possible please install the new version, use firefox
--ProfileManager , make a new profile, make sure that no addons are
installed and see if you still are having the same issues.
Looking forward to see if you are having the same issue and getting
the same traceback (or not). If it's still an issue then you could CC
Mike Hommey <gland...@debian.org> so maybe it could be reported
upstream if it's an upstream issue.
