Package: dnsmasq
Version: 2.72-3+deb8u2
Severity: critical

Dear Maintainer,

upgrading dns-root-data to 2017072601~deb8u2 breaks dnsmasq startup routine.
Parsing /usr/share/dns/root.ds at /etc/init.d/dnsmasq (line 115) isn't working
anymore because the format changed from

. IN DS 19036 8 2

to

Please see also #860064 where a similar update caused the same problem.
Downgrading to dns-root-data=2017072601~deb8u1 is a possible workaround at the
moment.

Best Regards
Ansgar
