In preparation of using autopkgtest results for unstable-to-testing migration, I am running autopkgtests with migration candidates from unstable in testing. I noticed that recent versions of starlink-* packages run successfully in unstable, but starjava-topcat (and also starjava-table, but I haven't investigated that further yet) fails in testing¹ when I use the packages from starjava-votable from unstable with the error copied below². I tried multiple combinations of pulling in other packages from unstable and when I also pull in starjava-fits packages, then the autopkgtest of starjava-topcat passes. This is a clear indication that some of the packages from starjava-votable (I believe tarlink-votable-java) need versioned dependencies on some of the packages of starjava-fits. Please investigate this issue and don't hesitate to ask for more information about the test setup if needed, or addition tests (you can trigger them yourself as well via the new ci.d.n API³.
