Package: libvirt-daemon-system
Version: 3.0.0-4+deb9u2
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
sudo apt-get -t stretch-backports dist-upgrade
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
* What was the outcome of this action?
Unpacking libvirt-daemon-system (3.0.0-4+deb9u3) over (3.0.0-4+deb9u2) ...
Failed to reload daemon: Connection reset by peer
[ and then hard freeze, no numlock or sysrq response ]
* What outcome did you expect instead?
successful package upgrade.
Post this, dpkg --configure -a froze system again
I had to systemctl stop librt-guests and libvirtd, in order to dpkg
--configure -a (which configured systemd but abandoned above upgrade)
Redoing the dist-upgrade the exact same error and freeze ocurred.

For me it's o.k. to use the bts for libvirt related bugs but I don't
think this has it's cause in libvirt so I'm closing. Please feel free to
reopen or follow up on this report should you be able to provide more
information.
