Package: electrum Version: 2.7.9-1~bpo8+1 Severity: grave
When I start Electrum, it says “Synchronizing...” and it stays like that many hours and never finishes that synchronising. I asked at a channel IRC-called #electrum at freenode. They thought problem is because this version of Electrum is so old that it probably can not do segwit serialisation. Please update this package to the latest upstream version. And create backport-package, too. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.9 APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (990, 'oldstable'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-proposed-updates') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-0.bpo.3-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages electrum depends on: ii python 2.7.9-1 ii python-electrum 2.7.9-1~bpo8+1 pn python:any <none> Versions of packages electrum recommends: ii python-qt4 4.11.2+dfsg-1 Versions of packages electrum suggests: pn python-btchip <none> pn python-trezor <none> pn python-zbar <none> -- no debconf information -- Juhapekka ”naula” Tolvanen ** http colon slash slash iki dot fi slash juhtolv ”Joo, mä vihaan rakkauslauluja.
