This is already fixed upstream in xdg-utils by https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xdg/xdg-utils/commit/?id=0d6eebb27c562e8644ccf616ebdbddf82d0d2dd8 Updating xdg-utils to the latest upstream version 1.1.2 would include that fix. Unfortunately the Debian xdg-utils package seems to be unmaintained atm. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
