the new thunderbird wrapper script breaks the command line parsing E.g. "thunderbird --ProfileManager" no longer works, instead you get an error: $ thunderbird --ProfileManager Illegal option -- Usage: thunderbird [-h|-vg|-- @args] The options have to be used in the correct order! ... This is related to #855334, but I don't think, existing tools should be updated to use "--", instead the wrapper script needs to be fixed to be backwards compatible. Marking this as RC, as it breaks existing applications and scripts.
