Please try installing gstreamer1.0-tools and run gst-inspect-1.0 and attach the output. There's a dependency from libcheese7 -> gstreamer1.0-plugins-good (>= 0.11.0) which should make sure you have the videobalance element. Regards, Andreas Henriksson
