Agreed. Stop dealing with that upstream ("I believe that the
design of most Linux distros is fundamentally broken" : how arrogant
is that) and let's throw subsurface away as it is....or just fork it
to make it distro-friendly.
Just leave this guy (these guys) play with they hobby, manually compile each
and every software that comes on their machines and live in their own
broken world.
I very much understand your bitterness, Salvio. You did great work
packaging this software and it will be lost.
I very very very seldomly became aggressive in dozens of years on free
software but that issue is among those that drive me to the Dark
Side. Sorry for this.
May I suggest you now choose running instead of scuba diving: we have
plenty of great running software in Debian and they are very
distro-friendly...:-)
