Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Attempt to update the Adobe Flash plugin to the latest version
(11.2.202.491 as of this report).
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I ran update-flashplugin-nonfree --status; it reported that I had
11.2.202.481 on my system now, and that 11.2.202.491 is available
upstream.
I then ran update-flashplugin-nonfree --install; it downloaded and
installed something.
* What was the outcome of this action?
I ran update-flashplugin-nonfree --status again; it reported that I
had 11.2.202.481 on my system now, and that 11.2.202.491 is available
upstream.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I expected to have 11.2.202.491 installed on my system.
Extra information:
I believe this may be the same problem as bug 789808 ; it may be
happening again because of the new change in the upstream version.

I made a copy of the update-flashplugin-nonfree script and modified it
to exit after creating the checksums.txt file. I examined the
checksums.txt file it created and the last line referred to 11.2.202.481
, but I expected it to refer to 11.2.202.491 .
For the log below, I first made sure /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree was
cleared out, and then I ran the standard, unmodified version of the
update-flashplugin-nonfree script.
