I can't reproduce that segfault myself, even after removing
~/.local/share/gnote (to simulate running gnote for the first time).

I'm about to upload gnote 3.16 to sid; please check to see if it's
still reproducible with the latest upstream release. If so, can you
please file a bug report upstream at [1]? Thanks!
