JFTR: Works fine here, so it's probably not a general issue. Tested on
a Thinkpad X240 with Awesome window manager and Intel graphics card:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 0b)
(Not sure what else could make a difference that causes a crash.)
