It works for me... I'm able to save/restore, no crash. This is most probably a problem related to the 3D driver (the first item of the stack trace is related to OpenGL).
Disabling thumbnails in files (Menu Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Document -> uncheck "Save thumbnails into project files") might solve the problem...
