This likely is an unintended(!) conversion from directory to symlink. I
believe that this is a regression in the 2.7.1-4 upload that aimed to
fix #773022. In 2.7.1-4 only libhogweed2 and nettle-bin would symlink
their docs to libnettle4. Thus the original patch, only added the
version restriction to the dependencies.
Now what actually ended up in 2.7.1-4 is:
dh_installdocs -a -Nnettle-dev --link-doc=libnettle4
dh_installdocs -a -pnettle-dev
So while nettle-dev is exempted from the linkdoc, nettle-dbg is not. I
see a few ways forward here:
* Add -Nnettle-dbg and -pnettle-dbg to the respective dh_installdocs
commands.
* Revert to 2.7.1-3 and take the patch for #773022.
* Actually transition this directory to a symlink using
dpkg-maintscript-helper.
Given that Magnus Holmgren addressed #773022 within a week, I think that
it is likely that he addresses this bug in a timely manner or speaks up
as to what his preferred solution is.
