Package: python-statsd Version: 2.0.1-1 Severity: grave Tags: upstream Justification: renders package unusable
hi, python-statsd fails to import if python-django >= 1.5 is installed, see also this issue: https://github.com/jsocol/pystatsd/issues/24 django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: Requested setting STATSD_HOST, but settings are not configured. You must either define the environment variable DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE or call settings.configure() before accessing settings. Fixed upstream by this commit: https://github.com/jsocol/pystatsd/commit/f28f6c988fc087388577cd5e8df28ca8d648c0e3 I think it makes sense to package the latest upstream version, I'll take a stab at that. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
