Uploaded.
You'll need to get this unblocked first before considering doing
something about 3.1.0.

That's all right. Bugs can be closed multiple times in different
versions. Even if it is fixed in unstable, it still affects stable and
the bts won't archive this RC bug until it is fixed in stable, too.
Next iteration for wheezy:
use version 3.0.1-2~deb7u1 and create a separate changelog stanza on top
of 3.0.1-2 containing something like "Upload for wheezy." No Closes needed.
Send debdiff between 3.0.1-1 and 3.0.1-2~deb7u1 to the PU bug.
I just need to build it with -v3.0.1-1 and the .changes will contain the
two changelog stanzas and the closes (similar to bpo builds).
The suffixes usually mean
-1+deb7u1 something on to of -1 (which is in stable) that did not go
through unstable
-2 goes to unstable, such versions are discouraged in stable
-2~deb7u1 backported a newer version from unstable to stable, contains
all changes in unstable since the last stable version
with only minimal changes needed for porting to stable
this approach is not usable if unstable has evolved in a way
incompatible with stable - instead of reverting much stuff
cherry-pick the relevant parts into a +deb7u1 version
