Hi, OGRE 1.9 is in unstable and testing and apparently without major problems for 3 months. In principle, I would like to ship only 1.9 for Jessie, and not 1.8. I don't think that they will make more releases for 1.8, so it means that it's already out of support from upstream.
The freeze will happen just over 6 months from now, so there's still plenty of time and no immediate rush; but it would be nice to have things stablilised and ogre-1.8 removed well before that. So it would be great if you could start compiling your packages against ogre-1.9, if supported by the respective upstreams. Cheers. -- Manuel A.
