autobuilders) have been failing:

Since you evidently (and reasonably) mean to use OpenJDK rather than
GCJ, please specify appropriate flags; I'd suggest taking further
advantage of javahelper:
include /usr/share/dpkg/buildflags.mk
include /usr/share/javahelper/java-vars.mk
CPPFLAGS += -I/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-$(JAVA_ARCH)/include
