Package: maxima
Version: 5.9.2-2
Followup-For: Bug #340151

I had no gcl. I have made a reinstall of maxima but the segfault is still
happened.

I found a bug report number 1356673 at
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=4933&atid=104933
there is:

-----------------------------
ppc version times out on start
I installed version 5.9.2 of maxima and xmaxima using
dpkg and the deb files from us.archive.ubuntu.com on
an iMac running Ubuntu 5.10. There was no complaints
about dependencies (gcl, libgmp3c2 and libgmpxx are
installed) but running maxima from the command line
yields a running process but no maxima. In xmaxima I
get a maxima starting maxima, timed out error message.

---------------------------------

I think this is the same bug.

Thank you. Regards.

Jean-Paul Vincent.
