Hello Roland, current version of chan capi in debian is incompatible with asterisk 1.2, you must use version 0.4.0-PRE1 (experimental) from junghanns.net or version 0.6.1 (stable) from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=140312 .
