This class is in the file org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar. The following instances of it need to exist: $ dpkg -S org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar eclipse-rcp-common: /usr/share/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar eclipse-rcp-gcj: /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins.gcj/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar.so eclipse-rcp: /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar All these files need to exist. /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar has to be a link to /usr/share/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar. > Also for the record: I have tried eclipse installs before, both using > older debian packages and pulling down my own copy. When you deleted ~/.eclipse and ~/workspace before starting up eclipse I dont think this is the case.
