the new upstream version, 0.8.4, available at http://www.mailavenger.org/dist/avenger-0.8.4.tar.gz fixes this FTBFS with gcc4.8. If, for whatever reason, you want to stay with the current version, the fix is pretty simple. I've attached it to this message. Cheers, Andreas
