I looked at it in relation to upstream's 0.10 tree and confirmed that it appears to match http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/commit/?h=0.10&id=401f9b3de72de759c76da155a339c754b653bf9d It looks like a reasonable and minimal fix based on upstream's description of what was causing the problem. The fact that it was pulled in to the 0.10 tree by one of the usual uploaders of the package also gives me confidence that it is likely to be correct.
