If the fix is correct and you have tested it, and can take care of
fixing fallout, then no need to "NMU" it.
Just do a normal upload, with normal version number and use something like
"* Team upload"
As first entry.

I'd encourage all debian developers to upload their offlineimap fixes
and sponsor fixes from contributors that way.

My mail setup is very "simplistic" compared with many other DDs =))))
