Apologies if I missed the discussion, but was that agreed with
anyone on the
release team?
It’s just not a bug in the package but a bug in the build environment
of the person who did the last upload (which was subsequently fixed
by a binNMU of the arch they uploaded binaries for).
In which case it should probably be closed, as it doesn't apply to any
current package in the archive and no changes in the package are
required to resolve it.
I kept the bugreport open, so any future uploads could remember this,
but the number of stable RC bugs was questioned on planet debian
today
so I tagged it, to get it off peoples’ radar, as there’s nothing that
needs to be done in the package.
People questioning the number of RC bugs in stable isn't a good reason
to set -ignore tags on your own bugs. If you think a bug needs such a
tag then you should discuss that with the release team.
<URL:http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#tags> quite clearly indicates:
<quote>
squeeze-ignore
This release-critical bug is to be ignored for the purposes of
releasing squeeze. *This tag should only be used by the release
manager(s); do not set it yourself without explicit authorization from
them.*

(with the highlighted section being bold on the online version)
