Huh? Changing iptables in sid would fix squeeze-to-wheezy upgrades
how, exactly?

To recap, iptables in squeeze and wheezy contain a shared library
(libxtables) used by other packages. The version in squeeze is

        /lib/libxtables.so.4

The version in wheezy is

        /lib/libxtables.so.7

This produces upgrade problems.
