Package: phantomjs Version: 1.4.1+dfsg-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
The hello.js example at https://github.com/ariya/phantomjs/blob/master/examples/hello.js prints nothing when executed with phantoms. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create a file named "hello.js" containing the following two lines: console.log('Hello, world!'); phantom.exit(); 2. execute the following command: phantomjs hello.js; echo $? 3. Expected result: "Hello, world!" appears on standard output and exit status is 0. Actual result: nothing appears and process exits with status 1. The same steps with phantomjs 1.7.0 on OS X worked fine (printed "Hello, world!"). According to strace(1), phantomjs is never even opening "hello.js".
