I've done that, but also added a check so that if this means we don't actually install grub to any boot device, grub-installer will fail. It's not a proper fix, so I didn't mark the change as closing this bug; but I do plan to downgrade the severity (since it now no longer causes the installation to fail) once it's been built everywhere. -- Copyshops should do vouchers.
