Hu? /usr/bin/iceape on my machine is a symlink pointing to: ../lib/iceape/iceape
(and BTW the problem's the same w/ iceweasel:(

That's looks ok according my bin which is a symlink.

Exactly, so from what you said above I miss the iceape binary in /usr/bin.

which iceape
/usr/bin/iceape

la /usr/bin/iceape 
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 oct.  26 22:43 /usr/bin/iceape -> ../lib/iceape/iceape

I'm purging iceape, checking that the symlink is also purged (or 
manually remove it), reinstall and keep you aware of the result.
(and iceweasel that have the same problem).
