Package: msva-perl Version: 0.8-2 Severity: critical After doing a wheezy-to-wheezy upgrade on this laptop, logging in to my session now seems impossible. This is my .xsession-errors:
/etc/gdm3/Xsession: Beginning session setup... Better hope you get what you want before you stop wanting it. localuser:anarcat being added to access control list openConnection: connect: Connection refused cannot connect to brltty at :0 Use of uninitialized value $loglevel in lc at /usr/share/perl5/Crypt/Monkeysphere/MSVA/Logger.pm line 91. 2 sockets open; should have been 1. The problem likely lies in the two last lines. The first of those is probably not the cause, since pabs reported in #642304 that this wasn't affecting his session (or at least it's marked minor). However, the last line is a problem. It is not clear according to the log, but I believe the validation agent is just crashing there, and taking the whole session with it as it goes (and therefore #682353 could be related). Indeed, after apt-get removing the msva-perl package, all things return to normal and I am able to log back in again and... file this bug report. :) A. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_CA.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages msva-perl depends on: ii libconfig-general-perl 2.50-1 ii libconvert-asn1-perl 0.26-1 ii libcrypt-x509-perl 0.51-1 ii libfile-homedir-perl 0.99-1 ii libgnupg-interface-perl 0.45-1 ii libhttp-server-simple-perl 0.44-1 ii libjson-perl 2.53-1 ii libnet-server-perl 2.006-1 ii libregexp-common-perl 2011121001-1 ii perl-modules [libparent-perl] 5.14.2-12 Versions of packages msva-perl recommends: ii libanyevent-perl 7.010-1 ii libgtk2-perl 2:1.244-1 ii libio-socket-ssl-perl 1.76-1 ii liblinux-inotify2-perl 1:1.22-0.2+b1 ii libnet-ssleay-perl 1.48-1+b1 ii liburi-perl 1.60-1 ii libwww-perl 6.04-1 Versions of packages msva-perl suggests: pn liblwp-protocol-socks-perl <none> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
