This is #652638 (cc'd), which has some analysis. I believe it doesn't affect squeeze->wheezy upgrades. Quoting myself there: Given this was only a transient sid problem in Debian, I'm leaving it up to libuuid-perl maintainers (= other pkg-perl folks) to decide if they want to include the above at all. I doubt there are many Debian users that would be affected anymore, but it might be worth it just to minimize the Ubuntu diffs.
