Package: libtonezone2.0 Version: 1:2.5.0.1-1 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from 'lenny' to 'squeeze' to 'wheezy'. It installed fine in 'lenny', and upgraded to 'squeeze' successfully. Then the upgrade to 'wheezy' fails because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Preparing to replace libtonezone2.0 1:2.2.1.1-1 (using .../libtonezone2.0_1%3a2.5.0.1-1_amd64.deb) ... Unpacking replacement libtonezone2.0 ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libtonezone2.0_1%3a2.5.0.1-1_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/libtonezone.so.1', which is also in package libtonezone1 1:1.4.11~dfsg-3 cheers, Andreas
