Package: python-newt
Version: 0.52.14-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

On amd64, the module cannot be imported at all:
| $ python -c 'import snack'
| Traceback (most recent call last):
| File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
| File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/snack.py", line 42, in <module>
| import _snack
| ImportError: No module named _snack

Perhaps this is related to these scary error messages in the build log[0]:
| install: cannot stat `python2.6/_snackmodule.so': No such file or directory
| /bin/sh: 4: +: not found
| install: cannot stat `python2.7/_snackmodule.so': No such file or directory
| /bin/sh: 4: +: not found
