Package: kate
Version: 4:4.6.5-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
This new version of kate looks like it would be quite nice, but the
screen -- even when no file is open -- displays a collection of
random graphics and text; as far as I can tell it's a combination of
text from the file and random pieces of the
desktop background.
I've tried installing and uninstalling kate, and I've even moved from
Linux 3.0.x to 2.6.x in an effort to fix this problem.
