Package: mercurial
Version: 1.9.1-2
Severity: grave
Tags: sid
Justification: renders package unusable
hi,
tagged it thus because when this comes up:
Setting up mercurial (1.9.1-2) ...
Removing old python byte-compiled files in
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/mercurial
Removing old python byte-compiled files in
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/hgext
not only are the byte-compiled files removed, but the entire directories are
removed. i'm using stock mercurial, no homebrew anything or plugins (if it
does plugins).
when i tried to use 'hg', it wasn't working. it looked like it was missing
some modules. i looked, and they were gone. no hgext/ and no mercurial/,
anywhere. i looked all over, and there were none, i had to extract it (dpkg
-x) somewhere and replace all those files.
thanks

Then it's not a bug in the mercurial package, so closing it.
